Entrepreneurship and Business Administration
Description
The module provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals and practices of entrepreneurship and business administration and is aimed at individuals who want to start and run their own business or who want to get a taste of the subject matter. It deals with entrepreneurial thinking, business planning processes, and the core functions of business management, including marketing, finance, operations, and human resources.
Learning outcomes of this micro-credential are:
- Students will be able to understand the key features and mindsets of successful entrepreneurs, explore frameworks for identifying opportunities, learn techniques for generating and validating business ideas, and solve real-world problems innovatively.
- Students will develop skills in creating value propositions, conducting market research, testing feasibility, designing, and presenting a conceptual business model.
- Students will be familiar with the core functions of management (planning, organizing, leading, controlling) and can describe simple strategies for employee motivation.
- Students will be able to explain basic financial terms (such as balance sheets and budgeting) and have an introductory understanding of production and logistics processes.
- Students will be able to define basic marketing goals and outline fundamental strategies for market positioning, identify basic elements of market analysis and pricing, and interpret simple market and target audience information.
- Students will be able to understand the basics of customer communication and can explain the importance of customer relationships and sales processes.
