This course aims to provide a complete overview of the work and career of Federico García Lorca. It will study his poetic and theatrical work, as well as the general characteristics of the literary and cultural period in which his production developed. The six modules into which it is divided, arranged in chronological order, will explore all of García Lorca’s work, taking place over a period of six weeks.

Module 1: 1898–1921. The young Federico García Lorca (Week 1)
Module 2: 1922–1926. The years of early maturity (Week 2)
Module 3: 1927–1929. The poet’s light is contradiction (Week 3)
Module 4: 1930–1931. The possible and the impossible (Week 4)
Module 5: 1932–1934. The Tragedy begins (Week 5)
Module 6: 1935–1936. The final Lorca (Week 6)
