Physical Activity and Chronic Pathologies
Description
This micro-credential is comprised of a series of modules given by different professors at the three partner universities. The modules included are:
- Physical activity and Cancer
- Cardiovascular diseases (CVD)
- Metabolic diseases
- Red blood cells diseases
- Cardiovascular Disease Associated with CKD
- Importance of Physical Exercise
Course learning outcomes:
- Have a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of physical activity research in the clinical themes studied.
- Have knowledge and understanding of the research methods and biological mechanisms currently used in the studied themes when physical activity is applied.
- Have the skills to integrate research results in order to develop advanced ideas and practical applications.
- Be able to critically evaluate the methodologies and theories currently used in this thematic area.
- Be able to present and discuss the results of academic research both orally and in writing.
- Be able to interpret the outcomes of analytical procedures and produce reports on this research in accordance with current academic norms.
Number of hours
40 hours total (21 contact hours + 19 independent work hours).
Target group
Students and professionals with at least a Bachelor’s degree.
Number of participants
1–15 participants.
Prerequisites
Completion of at least a Bachelor’s degree programme. Minimum intermediate English level (B2) to follow lessons in English.

Free of charge.
