Description

This micro-credential builds on the competencies developed in the first micro-credential and aims to consolidate and expand students’ oral communication skills through more complex communicative tasks and cognitively demanding interpreting-related challenges. By the end of the activity, learners will be able to adapt communication styles across cultural and interpersonal contexts, negotiate complex intercultural dynamics, employ improvisation and problem-solving techniques, retrieve and adapt specialised terminology rapidly, and reflect critically on performance.

Target group

Bachelor and Master’s students specialising in Translation and/or Interpreting, or related fields (Levels 6, 7 and 8 EQF)

Number of participants

Minimum: 30 (10 per linguistic pair) / Maximum: 60 (20 per linguistic pair)

Prerequisites

Students must have completed MC1 or have taken officially recognised university courses related to Interpreting. They can also be postgraduate students specialising in Interpreting. Applicants must also demonstrate proficiency in their B language at a minimum level of B2 or equivalent.

Arqus and self-funded (covered by public enrolment fee). Fee amount: TBD by UGR.
